Stephanie Lancet

Senior Director

Stephanie Lancet is a professional in the K-12 public education field with experience in community engagement and systems change through research, advocacy, and policy. She currently works as the Outreach Coordinator for the Hayward Promise Neighborhood’s (HPN’s) Community Counseling Clinic (CCC) based out of California State University East Bay. Inspired by the model of Harlem Children’s Zone, HPN focuses on breaking the cycle of inter-generational poverty through a comprehensive education-centered, place-based approach to supporting children and families from birth through college and career. Stephanie supports the CCC by coordinating the day-to-day administration and operations of the CCC and serving as a liaison between and providing support to CCC Co-Directors, clinical supervisors, trainees, and clients. She facilitates the documentation and implementation of CCC policies and procedures, and leads data collection and reporting process for the CCC.

Stephanie recently served as a research consultant and program manager for the Center for Learner Equity (formerly the National Center for Special Education In Charter Schools) to advocate for students with diverse learning needs and their ability to access and thrive in public charter schools. She is as a founding board member of Wildflower New York Charter School, serving as the board secretary and interim board treasurer. The microschool serves students in Pre-K through 3rd grade in the South Bronx and offers a Montessori education grounded in child-centered, culturally sustaining pedagogy. She received her Master’s in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University and her Bachelor’s in Economics and Philosophy from Boston College.
